Maya was one of the first women who joined the construction industry in Saudi Arabia. She worked with Saudi Binladin Group (SBG) – a multinational construction conglomerate in the Middle East on one of the world’s mega projects. Operating in the Contracts Department of King Abdulaziz International Airport Development she provided a critical link between SBG’s Finance Department and subcontractors. After that, she held the position of Cost Controller in one of SBG’s sister companies where she directed the creation of a new cost control system that significantly improved the forecasting system by monitoring cost and providing timely financial data.
Maya shares Invennt’s value of being the core of a positive construction sector. She believes that the industry is demanding a positive change. For companies to gain a competitive advantage in this change, they will need to develop pragmatic approaches to risk management, operational efficiency and capital allocation. As well as raising higher sustainable standards and attracting more diverse talents including women. As the industry continues to evolve from B2B to B2B2C, these advantages will become even more significant differentiators for tomorrow’s key players.
