Stephen is Invennt’s Head of Business Development in North America, he has more than 44 years of international experience in purchasing in both the public and private sectors. He has also served as the vice president of the Ontario General Contractors Association for four years, and until recently was on the board of directors for the Ontario Institute of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada. He is presently serving on the Board of Governors at Mohawk College.
Stephen has extensive experience in negotiating multi-million dollar contracts, and in dispute resolution. With more than 500 publications in the field (including three books, Municipal Procurement, the Handbook of Municipal Procurement, and Leadership, or the Lack Thereof), he is widely recognized as the leading authority in Canada on public procurement, and he is a frequent presenter at conferences and seminars in Canada and abroad on public procurement, and construction issues.
Stephen has spent the last several years working with American and European clients training construction teams with respect to bidding on complex RFP and Tender documents in Canada, for the government construction market. He has also helped companies from around the world develop a presence for goods and services in the Canadian Market.
