Steve Lett joins Invennt. An Associate offering Commercial Strategy for Construction

2e8a1ba[1]Steve Lett has recently joined Invennt as an Associate. This great news for Steve and Invennt. Steve shares Invennt’s philosophy of wishing to improve construction for all participants through improving systems, processes and behaviours. Steve’s speciality is focused on commercial leadership and strategy. He brings decades worth of commercial experience working with contractors, clients and consultants both in the UK and Middle East. Steve has a consultative style which helps him get to the root of a problem in a non threatening way. His vast commercial experience allows him to quickly analyse issues and develop a transformation plan. Once agreed he rolls his sleeves up and get stuck in on the implementation.

Steve has developed internal commercial processes for consultants (of all types including architects) which allow practices to better plan for the future including setting fees, analysing markets and managing accounts. He has a particular expertise in managing change for both design and contracting contracts. He believes that many commercial problems are caused by poorly defined process, a lack of commercial awareness and the non-integration of teams. Steve’s focus is getting the right people to do the right things through process development, training, collaboration and demonstration. He has run a number of transformational projects for clients in the design and construction industries which have turned around very unfavourable situations both at project  and at enterprise level.

Steve is a big advocate of collaboration both internally, with the client and sub-contractors on complex projects as in his experience working in a joined up way leads to faster and more equitable outcomes for all in construction.
